Happy birthday to singer/actress Julie Andrews， who turns 72 today. The winner of numerous awards， including Golden Globes， Emmys， BAFTAs and an Oscar， Andrews has been a favorite of the stage and screen. Her starring role in the acclaimed musical Victor/Victoria brought her the nomination for Best Actress in a Musical in 1996， but， upset that none of her fellow cast members had been nominated， Andrews declined the honor. Queen Elizabeth II named Andrews a Dame of the British Empire (DBE) in 2000.
